There are two options on autogas automotive tanks - cylinderical or toroidal (ring).
Depending on the make and model of each vehicle, the tanks can be fitted:

Option 1:

In the boot load area, typically between the rear wheel arches

Option 2:

In the spare wheel well, in this case a false boot floor has been used to allow for a deeper tank to be fitted.

Option 3:

Under chassis, where suitable ground clearance

With some vehicles it is possible to remove the original manufacturers petrol tank and to install a smaller, fabricated petrol tank with a suitable cylinder tank under chassis. This picture (above/right) illustrates a new smaller petrol tank fitted to a Landrover Discovery with two 40 ltr LPG tanks under chassis. This enables the rear seats to be retained. Picture shows installation prior to completion and rust proofing treatment.
